Albatross Meet - March 2016


March 9, 2016:  GERM won the Albatross Open again, although ANCM’s strong swimmers made the meet very close.  New team records were set in individual events by Leah Heil (W35-39 100m fly and 200m IM); Scott Golden (M50-54 100m fly); Denise Dombay (W50-54 100 and 200m free); Connor Walsleben (M18-24 200m breast); Richard Durham (M75-79 100 and 200m breast); Jessica Flugge(W40-44 50 and 100m back); Evan Murdock (M18-24 50m back); Ken Wall (M75-79 50 and 100m back, 50m breast, 50m free);Lauren Friedlander Litzner (W25-29 50m breast); Amy Cooley (W60-64 50m breast and 50m free); Jeff Jarczynski (M35-39 50m breast); Linda Carter (W70-74 100m back); Jeanne Lappin (W60-64 50m fly); and Jason George (M25-29 100m breast).  


Four GERM relays also set new team records:  

Men 100-119 200m medley:  Murdock, Dominik Van Der Veen, George, Steve Krempasky;

Mixed 100-119 200m free:  Kempsey Clark, Friedlander Litzner, Rachel Terrill, Sam Portnoff;

Mixed 240-279 200m free: Robinson, Wall, Barbara Mallon, Terri Postma;

Mixed 280-319 200m free:  Carter, Cooley, James Hillman, Richard Durham.


Jeanne Lappin and Denise Dombay also set meet records.   Many other GERM swimmers (we had 47!) also had strong swims and scored points to push us to victory.
