Colonies Zone LC Championships - June 2013

 
 

June 25, 2013: GERM finished 4th out of 29 teams participating in the Colonies Zone Long Course Championships last weekend. New meet records were set by Jeanne Lappin (W55-59) in all three fly races and both I.M.s, and by David Robinson (M70-74) in the 100 and 200m backstroke races. Jeanneís 200 fly and 200 I.M. times set new team records. David set new team records in the 50, 100, and 200 free and all three backstroke events. Other GERM swimmers broke some of the oldest and most revered team records: Michael Stafanick broke a 13-year old record in the M18-24 50m free, and set a new record in the 100m back. Kempsey Clark set a new standard in the M18-24 200m I.M. Farol Tomson 18-year old records in the M40-44 200 fly and 200 I.M., and set a new standard in the 1500m free.Richard Durham also scored for GERM with a 3rd place finish in the M70-74 200m breast and by swimming a leg on both our relays.
