Germantown Maryland Masters Swim Team (GERM) is one of more than 1500 masters teams in the country, about 30 of which are located here in the Potomac Valley region of United States Mastes Swimming(USMS).  Members must be a least 18, with no upper age limit.  

We welcome fitness swimmers, competitive swimmers, and multi-sport athletes who want to improve their swim technique or conditioning.  About half of our swimmers compete in USMS meets.  About half swim just for fitness or to train for multi-sport events outside of USMS.

We combine fitness with fun.  We have social activities away from the pool from time to time.  

Swimmers of all speeds and levels of endurance are welcome to join our coached workouts.  Workouts are subdivided so that different lanes cover different distances and have different intervals.  Our coaches will help you find a lane suitable for you.
