Germantown Masters Swim Team Wins 2026 Albatross Open With 12 New Team Records

Thank you to all who contributed to our winning point total: John Abbott, Christina Baur, Jenny Carswell, Lisa Chin, Kempsey Clark, Denise Dombay, Amy Funk, Jason George, Scott Golden, Ronald Greger, Dorota Hassett, Steve Jolles, Jeanne Lappin, Laurence Lemiale, Arlene Proebsting, Gena Rezmer, Alice Ricci, David Robinson, Dave Ruf, Gustavo Sandi, Johanna Schneider, Elizabeth Spear, Chloe Vetter, Stephanie White, Stephen Wright.  And thank you Scott Golden for the post-meet social event at Yard House.

GERM women finished first in the women's division.  GERM men finished third.  Swimmers from 29 teams participated in this well-run meet hosted by the Ancient Mariners.

Results are not final, but it looks like we set 12 new team records.  Denise Dombay (W60-64 100 and 200m free), Jeanne Lappin (W70-74 50 back, 100 back, 100 breast, 100 IM), Gustavo Sandi (M50-54 50 and 100m breast), Scott Golden (M60-64 100 free), Ronald Greger (M80-84 100m breast), Women's 160-199 200m free relay (Lisa Chin, Amy Funk, Stephanie White, Dorota Hassett), Men's 240-279 200m free relay (Dave Ruf, Steve Jolles, Scott Golden, Gustavo Sandi).  These records will go up on our website as soon as the results are final.
